At the December 18, 2025 meeting of the South Middleton Township Municipal Authority, the Board approved a rate increase for all quarterly sewer and water billing services. The increase is approximately two percent (2%) for all sewer and water rate categories. For residential customers, the quarterly flat rate sewer charge of $152.00 will increase to $155.00 per quarter (Porches of Allenberry excluded). The base residential water rate for usage up to 6,000 gallons will increase from $43.00 to $44.00 per quarter. Water usage above 6,000 gallons will be billed at $3.70 per each additional 1,000 gallons used. Commercial, public, schools and industrial sewer rates will increase at the same percentage. Those rates are available upon request. This rate increase will take effect January 1, 2026 and will be reflected on your 1st Quarter 2026 bill, which will be mailed out the 1st week of April 2026.
